John Andrew Muldoon
March 30, 1956-Dec. 25, 2014
Columbia, California
John Andrew Muldoon, formerly of Atherton and Woodside, California, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Christmas Day.
John was born in San Francisco on March 30, 1956, to Paul and Kathleen Muldoon of Atherton. He attended The Woodside Priory School and graduated from Woodside High School.
After the death of his parents, John moved to Columbia in 1993. He owned and operated Your Window Man, a window cleaning service, for over 20 years.
He was passionate about the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He spent many hours boating and fishing on New Melones Lake.
John's other love was restoring old cars, boats and classic motorcycles. He had many friends who would come visit him with their motorcycles and they would take to the hills for a day of dirt biking and comradery that was truly unique to John.
Ever since he was young, he had a huge soft spot in his heart for animals and he volunteered at the Humane Society of Tuolumne County in Jamestown. Throughout his life, he opened his home to many animals needing adoption, giving them a loving home.
His sense of humor will be treasured and remembered by all who knew him.
John leaves behind his wife, Kristin; his sister, Mary Elizabeth "Me" Simon and brother-in-law Keith Simon of Los Altos; nephews Ian, William and Peter Simon; niece Catherine Simon and his many dear friends who endeared him and will miss their buddy, who they affectionately referred to as "Johnner City."
There will be a memorial service celebrating John's life on Saturday, January 24th at 2 p.m. at Independence Hall, 2955 Woodside Road, Woodside, California.
Because he loved animals so much, donations may be made in John's honor to The Humane Society of Tuolumne County, P.O. Box 830, Jamestown, California, 95327, or online at http://www.hsotc.org/donate
