John "Jack" Lucier, 90, a 30-year resident of Menlo Park, died November 14, 2018. He was born April 19, 1928, in Millbrae, CA. He attended Bellarmine College Preparatory before attending Santa Clara University where he earned a bachelor's degree in Business/Economics. He joined Levi Straus and Company as a designer in 1952 where he met his wife of 57 years, Judith "Judy" Roche. In 1961 Jack and Judy were married and soon after, started their own interior design business which they operated for over 25 years. Jack was a devoted community member. He served as a trustee on the board of Sacred Heart Schools and in his retired years enjoyed volunteering at the Menlo Park Library and The Church of the Nativity. Jack was a gourmet cook, an avid reader, a golfer, a world traveler, and a loving grandfather to six grandchildren, John and Michael Lucier, Julia and Emily Askins, and Charlie and Molly Ashendorf. He is survived by his wife Judy Lucier of Menlo Park, CA; his son, Daniel Lucier (Moira) of Burlingame, CA; Mary Askins (Mark) of Redwood City, CA; Anne Ashendorf (Michael) of Mill Valley, CA; and Christopher Lucier of Redwood City, CA. "First Class Jack" will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
