Virginia was an amazing community leader, and she contributed so much to humanity's understanding of our place on the planet. While I didn't know her earlier work in Creative Initiative (except by reputation), I first encountered her in Beyond War, where she was one of the major leaders. Later, as the organization evolved into the Foundation for Global Community, I had the benefit of working closely with her as a staff member. She supported me in teaching a course there on Meeting Facilitation and shared stories from her earlier experiences working with groups that effectively illustrated some "do's and dont's." She and her husband Don continued to offer their wisdom through the "Jesus as Teacher" program, spreading a message of the need to love each other — and the Earth. The seeds that Virginia planted in many herts is continuing to spread around the country and the world as we begin to understand more deeply how we are all connected. Her life has been a blessing to us all.
