Bob was always friendly and courteous and a gentleman on and off the court. I had the honor of playing with him a few times, and would often see him around the lodge and at tournaments at San Mateo Elks, Royal, Olympic Club, San Jose YMCA, 21st Point, Club Sport and the South End. I would also see Bob, with Dee, when he went to Nationals.
