Dear Ernie and Mario Family, Condolences on the passing of Mildred, dear wife, mother and grandmother. As a pharmaceutical scientist and educator (and fellow Remington Honor Medalist), I have long appreciated Dr. Mario's great contributions to our profession and to the pharmaceutical care of the nation. However, I was unaware of the impressive life and interests of your beloved Mildred. It would have been an honor for me to visit with her, both having a passion for historic preservation. Indeed, in my retirement I renovated a grand historic, but long neglected, house in Old Town Key West. It would have been of great pleasure to exchange experiences.
