I realize this is late but I didn't know that Gelsie had passed. I cut her hair for 25 years and felt like I knew her pretty well. She took great pride in her children and grandchildren, always keeping me up on their lives. She was a lovely lady and will be missed by many.
What a beautiful person Gelsomia was with a love for people, the environment, animals, equality and justice. God's word speaks of a time in the near future when there will be peace on the earth; where man and all animals will play together. A place where all races and nationalities will love one another, and equality and justice will prevail. Where people will live healthy, happy lives forever and welcome our dead loved ones back from the grave. Gelsomia will be happy to wake up on the earth when this bible promise (Revelation 21:3,4; John 5:28,29) comes true. A link to a beautiful article that gave me much comfort is below. I hope it brings you comfort too. What Happens After Death? http://www.jw.org/finder?locale=en&docid=2015562&prefer=lang&srcid=share Sincerely, Your neighbor in Mountain View, Melea Montgomery
My person was just thinking about her a short time ago. Must have felt her Spirit departing and letting my person's spirit send up a memory of all those years we struggled for justice and equality in Redwood City and East Palo Alto. Elena and Ava ya'll are the elders now.
I loved Gelsie. I didn't know her well but when I watched Jazmine as a baby, grandma came to visit & we had very nice visits. RIP Gelsie. Love Shirley
