Frederick Earl Judd
Oct. 17, 1925-March 1, 2021
Sun Valley, Idaho

Great man… great life..! He gave me my first job at .25 cents per hour. After four or five summers he gave me a raise ($1/hr). Anyway, we would see each other “around town” and we always laughed about that. Then, the last time I visited him and Kathrine, he gave me a bag full of quarters, saying “that should cover back pay.” We laughed again..!!! He will be missed but his memory will always bring a smile.

Ferd the Bird was bigger than life. He was an inspiration, a mentor and a friend to my brother, Pete, and me as we worked for Fred and hunted ducks under his tutelage. Our lives were greatly impacted, and our enjoyment of life deepened by Fred Judd. Fred’s “Work hard, play fair and make every man your friend” code has been instilled in our family too. Sail on, Fred.

Hello, I was sorry to learn of Fred's passing. My parents, Dorothy and Dave Ross bought one of the four houses that Fred built near Menlo-Atherton High School in 1952. I was ten years old at that time and remember Fred. My parents lived there about 30 years and thoroughly enjoyed the property.
