It was 1977 when Don Young encourgaged me to purchase my first home in Menlo Park, CA. Don was there every step of the way to guide me and to support this decision. When we were not discussing the trials and tribulations of being a homeowner, we were laughing and story telling at the Oasis while enjoying LA Hot sandwiches and sharing a pitcher of beer! Don's faith in me was the cornerstone to me being able to make further real estate purchases and to now live comfortably in my home in Vermont. He was indeed a rare friend, a true gentleman, and I will miss him.

Even though I did not know Mr. Young personally, this beautifully written obituary made me feel a friend of his. What a lovely life he lived, and it was so obvious that he loved his daughter immensely. Please accept my sympathy for the loss of this wonderful man.
