May Barry rest in the peace of eternal life. And May our Lord bless and keep Kathleen and their three sons in the palm of His hand during a most difficult time and as they move forward but not on.
Barry was one of my favorite all time people. He made my trips to the Alpine Tennis Club like a scene out of "Cheers" where we shared stories about the Warriors, John Wooden and UCLA Basketball, Little League and a myriad of other topics that ended with ," Come on Rich". I will never and I mean never forget two images of Big Bear- Seeing him drive down the road in his Mercedez convertible all 6"5" of him with his cool Rayban's as if life doesn't get any better-it didn't and the day he caught his son's Grant homerun in dead centerfield after yelling , "Come on Grant hit it right here". I will miss his mischievous and easy smile, his heart for kids, his quick wit and his joy for life that resonated. My prayers are with the Carr family and a peace that passes all understanding. Look forward to celebrating Big Bear's life in the near future.
I met Barry and Kathleen at Jordan at Sylvie's wedding - I am Sylvie's second cousin. What a series of parties! What wonderful people! Barry and Kathleen made me immediately feel welcome, a part of their extended family. Their love for each other was so evident and so wonderful. I feel blessed that I met Barry, and I am so sorry that he did not live to a ripe old age. I can only imagine how very much you all miss him. His light was bright, and I hope you can feel it shining on, not only in your memories, but in the way you live your lives, based on his example.
