At rest in Palo Alto, Feb. 11, 2015, Robert Clark Sleeper. Robert was born in Larchmont, New York, on March 17, 1938, to George E. Sleeper Jr. and Winifred McCargar. Robert was a descendant of California pioneers and lived the majority of his life in Northern California.
Robert earned his B.A. in illustration from Art Center in Los Angeles, California. On Feb. 24, 1962, Robert married Marina Gysbers. Of importance to him was his belief in the Christadelphian faith, of which he was a longstanding member.
Robert is survived by his wife of 53 years, his son, Jan R. Sleeper of Sonoma, California; his son, David A. Sleeper, of Palo Alto, California; and his grandchildren, Joshua J. Sleeper, Jeremy R. Sleeper, and Jordan M. Sleeper of Sonoma, California. He is also survived by his brother, Edward A. Sleeper, of San Mateo, California; his sister, Susan Jarvela, of Novi, Michigan; his aunt, Beatrice McCargar Groner, of Menlo Park, California; five nieces; three nephews; and many cousins.
