Regina Kriss, 82, a former Stanford University School of Medicine clinical faculty member, died Sept. 22 of pancreatic cancer.

She was raised in Portland, Ore. She became a member of the university's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences as an assistant clinical professor in 1987 and became the supervisor of the department's drug and alcohol recovery program. She previously worked as a counselor and teacher at Ravenswood High School in East Palo Alto.

She is survived by her husband, Edwin Lennox of San Francisco; sons, Eric Kriss of Newton, Mass., Paul Kriss of Sacramento and Mark Kriss of Inverness, Calif.; daughter-in-law, Jane Kriss of Inverness, Calif.; and four grandsons.
