Christopher C. Stivers, a resident of Berkeley, passed away September 5, 2015, while vacationing in Vietnam. Chris recently retired from the UC Berkeley Athletics department, where he was Associate Director for Compliance for the past 15 years. Chris was doing what he loved most, traveling the world.

Chris is survived by his mother, Dorothy Stivers of Atherton, and three sisters, Katie Stivers of Menlo Park, Sarah Camp of Antelope, and Hope Stivers of Redwood City. He is predeceased by his father, Edward Stivers.

Chris grew up in Atherton, attended Menlo-Atherton High School, and received his undergraduate degree in Economics at UC Berkeley, and a JD at UC Hastings College of the Law. He made his career in college athletics, first at the University of Colorado Boulder and then at UC Berkeley.
