Carol Anne Massard, longtime Menlo Park resident, died peacefully on 11/29/2025 at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage after a long period of illness. She was 96. She was born Carol Anne Galligan in Milton, MA, where she was a 1946 graduate of Milton High School, and was a 1948 graduate of Lasell Junior College (now Lasell University) in Newton, MA. Carol went on to work as a medical secretary, first at Harvard Medical School in Boston, then moved to San Francisco in 1957 to work at Stanford Medical School while it was still located in The City. She also did voiceover work for WBZ-TV in Boston, and was later a real estate agent for Taylor Properties in Menlo Park. She married and moved to the Peninsula in 1958, first to Palo Alto, and then to Menlo Park where she lived from 1967 until she relocated to Southern California in 2013. Carol had a lifelong love of travel and visiting new places. Over the years, she traveled extensively throughout the Americas, as well as Europe and the UK. She is survived by her sons, James D. Massard and Gary Massard (Tracy), daughter Patricia Massard, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. No services were held at her request. She was buried at the family plot in her hometown near Boston.
