Bonnie Grace Wilcox passed away peacefully on Jan. 12th, at her home in Palo Alto, California, in the presence of loving family.

Bonnie was born in Daly City California, the only child of Meta and Gordon McKenzie. Growing up in Daly City, Bonnie enjoyed many trips to Mokelumne Hill, California to visit family and friends.

Bonnie worked for the US Immigration Service until moving to Palo Alto in 1957, where she raised her family and worked at the Emporium in Stanford shopping center for 30+ years.

She was an active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, assisting with Teen Time, after service coffee and childcare, also a member of the Eastern Star and volunteered at the local food closet.

Bonnie was the family matriarch, who hosted all family events and social gatherings. She was happiest when visiting with loved ones.

She will be most remembered for her good cooking, kindness, willingness to help or lend an ear to all she cared for, and her love of many canine companions throughout the years.

Bonnie’s kind spirit and welcoming smile will be missed by all.

Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Laurie, and her sons, Douglas and Russell; grandchildren, Stephanie, Katie, Nolan and Kiara; plus her dog Goldie -- her best friend until the end!
