Barbara Neal Dulik, 75, died of a heart attack Dec. 25, 2010.

She was born in Los Angeles. Upon graduating from Los Angeles High School, she attended Stanford University, from which she also received her master's degree in education.

In 1976, she developed the preschool program at Trinity Parish School in Menlo Park, which in 1978 became The Phillips Brooks School. She continued teaching preschool at Phillips Brooks as head of its Early Learning Center and in 1986 also became Director of Admissions for the school. A longtime Peninsula resident, she retired in 2002 and moved with her husband Robert Dulik to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. She spent her retirement volunteering at a bilingual bookstore, traveling throughout Mexico and cultivating a close group of friends in the community. During her lifetime she was a voracious reader, avid knitter and enthusiastic world traveler.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert; their three children, Gregg Dulik of Palo Alto, Thomas Dulik of Lafayette, Calif., and Ann Elizabeth Gardiner of London, England; and nine grandchildren.
