Antigone T. Bellas, born June 14, 1937, passed away suddenly Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015.
Antigone was born in Detroit, Michigan, to Peter and Potoula Theophelis and once married moved to Palo Alto, California, in 1964. Antigone graduated from the University of Michigan in 1959 and started her career as a dental hygienist. She then founded Dentu Temps, a dental temporary personnel agency.
Antigone is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Neil Bellas, and her brother, George Theophelis of Detroit, Michigan. She is survived by her three sons, John, Peter (Paula) and Michael Bellas; four grandchildren, Kristina, Maria, Sofia and Nicolas Bellas; and her sister, Barbara Bruce of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Shocked to hear of my long time friend's demise! We lived in Pittsfield and Palo Alto and were best of friends & belonged to the Choir & Philoptochos Society. Her son, John and my son were both born in Pittsfield, MA I was also at Peter's wedding & Jim Stapakis, my nephew was his Best Man. I had also met "Tig's" Mom, Dad and Sister. Heartfelt condolences & may her soul rest in Peace. "Eonia E Mnimi Tis".
