Relly Davidson died peacefully in her home on the evening of July 9th, 2023 in Davis, California, after a brief illness. She was 87 years old.

For many years she served with pleasure as the graduate secretary for the Knight Fellowship at Stanford University. Before that she worked for many years in the Stanford University News and Publications office. She will be remembered for her wit and intelligence, her love of Opera and old films, preferring non-fiction to fiction and for making sure she got to swim, at least a few laps every day.

She leaves behind a daughter, Djina Ariel, in Davis, two grand-children, Yonah and Solomon Biers-Ariel, a nephew, Jesse Saglio, and a sister Yvette Nachmias-Baeu in Rhode Island. Her son Daniel Washington, predeceased her.

Living at the University Retirement Community in Davis for the past many years, she had been an active member serving on a variety of committees and generally being a friendly face to newcomers.
