Jenna Lynn Hilleary
Feb. 25, 1984-June 20, 2023
Palo Alto, California

It is with grieving hearts we share the sad news that Jenna Lynn Hilleary passed away peacefully at home, on June 20, 2023.

Jenna was born on February 25, 1984 in Palo Alto, the younger daughter of Tim and Debbie Hilleary. She attended Palo Alto schools, from kindergarten through high school. During many of those years, you could find her on the soccer field, playing on award-winning teams.

She set her sights on obtaining a B.A. degree from The USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. While completing her studies, she enthusiastically embraced all things USC. (“Fight On!”) Highlights included an extended semester in London, and active participation in Troy Camp, (one of USC's oldest and largest student-run philanthropies, providing mentorship and recreational activities for students in South Los Angeles).

After college, Jenna returned to the San Francisco Bay Area and embarked on a career as a Media Planner and Project Manager for tech start-ups and advertising companies – most notably, Universal McCann.

While working, Jenna continued to share her hospitality and organizational skills, coupled with enthusiasm and joy, as a volunteer for local organizations. She felt a special affinity for Gamble Gardens, and was deeply committed to her participation in the programs for children at the Ronald McDonald House.

Above all else, family was the keystone of Jenna’s life. She cherished family celebrations, embracing traditions passed down by her Papa Jack and Grandma Sutorius. And she treasured time spent with her two nephews.

Her absence is deeply felt by her parents, Debbie and Tim Hilleary, and grandmother, Marilyn Sutorius of Palo Alto; sister Tessa (Jeff), nephews Henry and Thomas; and dozens of aunts, uncles and cousins, from California to Maine.
