Francis Joseph Yetso passed away peacefully at his home on September 19, 2025 in Nipomo, CA at the age of 93.

Fran was born on June 9th, 1932 in Rochester, Pennsylvania to the late Mamie and John Yetso. He grew up in Aliquippa, PA and graduated from Saint Veronica High School in Ambridge, PA in 1950. After receiving an Honorable Discharge from the Army in 1954, Fran went on to earn a degree in Physics from Saint Francis College in 1959.

Fran worked as an aerospace engineer at Ford Aerospace for over 30 years. Outside of work, Fran was the consummate family man who enjoyed spending time with his wife, Caroline, and their eight children. He had a passion for home projects, boating, photography, and music, and he will be remembered for his quick wit, unwavering kindness and dedication to his family. Fran was also a strong supporter of education and the arts.

Fran is survived by his loving spouse of 66 years, Caroline; their children: Francis (Alyce), Bernadette, Robert, James, Stephen (Amy), Charles (Marla), and Daniel (Tammy). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, his sibling Nancy Butler, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Fran was preceded in death by his parents, brother John Yetso, sister Mary Ann LeViseur, and son Thomas.

A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, October 25th, 2025 at 1:30 PM at St.Thomas Aquinas Parish in Palo Alto.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Dignity Health Hospice of Santa Maria, CA, Restorative Partners of San Luis Obispo, CA, or a charity of your choice.
