Donna(Boecker)Shaw, age 66 passed surrounded by family on September 17, 2015 in Walnut Creek, California. Donna faced her brief struggle with pancreatic cancer with peace, acceptance and trust in her Heavenly Father. Donna was born to Robert and Alice Boecker in Rosenberg, Texas in 1948. After graduating from Lamar High School in 1967, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Texas, Austin in 1971 and her Master of Education from the University of Houston in 1975. She taught math for 6 years in a public middle school in Houston before moving to northern California in 1977. Donna married John Shaw in 1985 and they lived in Menlo Park, California for 23 years before moving to Rossmoor in Walnut Creek in 2008. She was greatly loved by the many students she tutored out of her home in Menlo Park for 15 years. Throughout their marriage Donna and John enjoyed traveling in their RV and visiting many countries around the world. Donna was a committed Christian who attended many Bible studies and showed the love of Christ to everyone she knew.

Donna is survived by her loving husband John Shaw, two stepsons, Bret Shaw and granddaughter Ella, Cary(Rosalie) and grandsons Leo and Andrew, four siblings and ten nieces and nephews.

Her sweet, loving spirit will be missed, but her unconditional love that touched everyone who knew her will remain in our hearts.
