Barbara Ann Hoyt Levernier Carlisle born May 11, 1929 in Pomona, California died February 27, 2018. She put herself through college at Fresno State. Currently the highest educated in our family with a master's degree in education from University of San Francisco. She worked at Berkeley Hospital in Berkeley as a registered nurse and then San Jose Unified as a school nurse. Later became a real estate broker in Palo Alto. She raised two girls as a single parent in Palo Alto. She was consistently active in several organizations that brought her lifelong friendships and satisfaction of giving back that depicted her values; her sorority Kappa Kappa Gamma, Children's Health Council, AAUW, Gadabouts and Parents Without Partners. She will be missed by many generations.
