Archie Victor Osborne of Mountain View, died peacefully surrounded by family on November 19, 2015. He was 77 years old. Archie was born on March 7, 1938 in Okolona, Mississippi. He graduated from Fannie Carter High School where he excelled in both sports and academics. Archie was a hardworking and determined man who loved his family dearly. He successfully ran his business, Osborne Moving Co. for more than thirty years in the Bay Area. In his later years, Archie developed a love for gardening. In addition to his family, his homegrown collard greens, tomatoes and corn were his pride and joy. Archie loved to laugh and have a good time, he always made you feel right at home in his presence. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-six years, Sylvia; four children: Tonia, Anthony, Angelo and Muhsin; eight grandchildren: Gabrielle, Tiffany, Jordan, Ashley, Kyle, Brianna, Angelo Jr. and Caleb; sisters Thelma and Peggy; brothers Robert and MacArthur, as well as extended family scattered throughout California and the U.S. Although our hearts are filled with sadness at Archie's passing, we rejoice in his memory and cherish the time we were blessed with his presence.
